The Kokusai Senshu Tokukai will offer certificates of promotion and rank recognition to current members. Experience, physical testing, and service will determine special promotions from the board.

Merit promotions as determined by the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai Board of Directors

All members will be eligible one year from the date of joining the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai.

The Kokusai Senshu Tokukai will issue its own promotion certificates and rank recognition certificates.

·         Note: Promotions are dependent upon validation of the requirements set forth by the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai.

All fees collected for certification will be applied to either the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai "sportsmanship" college scholarship program, or the athletic traveling fund for athletes, coaches and referees.

Any member in good standing after one years’ membership may request rank recognition certificates for verified martial arts training.

A member will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the art for the rank to be recognized. Proficiency may be demonstrated with a copy of a rank certificate from any verified school or association, by a martial arts resume with accompanying rank certificates of promotion, and physical testing in front of the review board.

Any member may seek promotion from the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai to the next rank depending on successful demonstration of proficiency. In addition to the methods described above, a demonstration of skills must be performed for the review board in person.

A minimum of two black belt board members will review.

“CERTIFICATION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS”

Verification is a very important aspect of the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai program.

What guarantee do I have that you will verify my status in the martial arts community?

Verification is for many, the most important question asked of a Martial Arts Association. We provide a certified Kokusai Senshu Tokukai rank certificate and associated database verifiable numbers. We also provide a letter of recommendation on our letterhead with all-contact addresses and phone numbers to the certified martial artist. This letter may be copied and used as you wish. Even though we provide perpetual verification by other means, letters of recommendation have been the preferred choice by those seeking certification. All other verification can be obtained through our contact information upon request via e-mail, fax or postal mail.

Does everyone qualify?

No! We do not offer certification to those who do not have the skills or qualifications that meet the requirements set forth by the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai board of directors. If the evaluation review board finds that you don't have enough experience to qualify for a specific certified ranking, it may be that you need further training, experience or study in a particular area. If this is the case, the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai certification review board will make recommendations for you to obtain more knowledge or experience, or they may simply need more documentation from you. In either case, the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai certification review board will work with you to obtain your certification.

How do I represent the way I received my certification?

There are literally thousands of martial art schools that offer various rank programs. The fact that you received certification by a verifiable martial arts review board of your lifetime training will be viewed as a tribute to yourself and your achievements. Your records will be held in our permanent database and can be verified by anyone to whom you grant authorization. The records will contain your martial arts achievements and copies of your certifications with your name, style, rank and date of certification.

I am a martial artist taught by another individual who chose not to be associated with any current organization. I have trained for many years, but no certification or ranking. Would this experience qualify for an Kokusai Senshu Tokukai certification or ranking?

This is a perfect example of martial arts experience that might be converted to a certification. Remember that certification depends on a thorough review and a test of your skills.

What can I expect after I get my Kokusai Senshu Tokukai certification?

Individuals and their expectations differ widely, but benefits can include gaining recognition and respect and heightened appreciation by others in the martial arts community, peer status, etc. There may also be some limitations. A document alone (of any type) will not make a person a martial artist. However, in many instances certifications and/or verifiable rankings can be an asset. It serves as official recognition of the hard work and perseverance you have put forth to obtain your skill in the martial arts.
