Kokusai Senshu Tokukai 2005 Scholarship Requirements

 

Applicants must be graduating seniors in the class of 2005, or currently attending college.

 

Applicants must state the name of the college they are registered to attend or are currently attending.

 

Applicants must be current members of the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai (Or send in $10.00 for dues) and applicants must be in the martial arts.

 

Applicants must hand write (legibly) a paper with the topic concerning Sportsmanship.

 

Applicants will write their papers with a minimum of 1000 words and a maximum of 3000 words.

 

Applicants will not sign their papers.

 

Applicants must have their papers turned in by July 31st, 2005.

Two winners will be announced at the KST Nationals in August.

 

Winners of the scholarships will have a check made out and sent to the college that they will be attending in their names to be placed in their personal college bursar accounts. Applicants’ papers will be blind judged by the scholarship committee. The papers must not have the applicants name on them. Dr. Steward will assign a number to each paper. When the committee has chosen two winners then they will respond to Dr. Steward and he will cross-reference the number of the two winners to the list of names. No judge will know whose paper they are reading until the winners are announced. Applicants will not use in whole or part any portion of the KST website in their scholarship paper.
