SENSHU TOKUKAI
REFEREE
CERTIFICATION
The
success of an international sports competition program depends greatly
on the contribution, and often volunteer efforts,
made by professionally trained
referees. With this in mind, the International
Kokusai Senshu Tokukai has
established a comprehensive program of refereeing
education that structures and
professionalizes refereeing development in a
systematic manner. This program
standardizes refereeing levels across the world and
moves martial arts competitions
in a positive direction for the benefit of the most
important people in any sport, its
athletes.
The Kokusai Senshu Tokukai wants to be known
throughout the world, as the international governing
body that administers the
foremost international referee licensing program in
the world. Rigorous certification
standards set by the Kokusai Senshu
Tokukai ensures the highest caliber
international championships recognized by
practitioners throughout the world.
Officials must be certified by the Kokusai Senshu Tokukai and awarded
a rank to officiate any Kokusai Senshu
Tokukai sponsored event.
REFEREE
EDUCATION PROGRAM
The KST program guarantees that each referee
will
possess a specific body of knowledge. This eliminates
confusion
and controversy and insures continuity as the referee
progresses
through the system. The program also guarantees that
all referees
are working within the framework of sound
educational,
physiological, psychological, and sports
technological principles.
Our objective is to establish a standard for
refereeing competency
and upgrade the competencies of referees already in
the field.
Lastly our intention is to produce referees that will
earn the respect
of the sports community through their actions on and
off the mat.
